"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."

Today we see an every increasing visibility of evangelical and Pentecostal churches where loud, angry vocal preachers and pastors and even lay members rant and rave from the pulpit and exhibiting frantic contortions of body and face. These events are disturbing. The church was supposed to be an orderly place where Christ's message of peace and social harmony would be heard and understood.

Pauls admonishment to the church at Corinth was clear. Up until that time apparently there had been disorder in meetings, and multiple members speaking out of turn and often in foreign tongues not known to the congregation, and without order or unity. He summarized chapter 14 of his epistle to the Corinthians thus;

"Let all things be done decently and in order"

It is therefore difficult to comprehend how these passages have been used in recent times to invoke anarchy and disorder in modern churches, particularly Pentecostal and Evangelical sects. The meek and humble spirit of Christ and his message has been replaced with a loud, condemning message which damns all who do not heed it to hellfire and brimstone. The Lords message however was one of ultimate compassion for mankind, and we are commanded to demonstrate compassion for each other and not judge individual transgression. And this website makes no attempt to judge any of these preachers, pastors or prophets on their lives, nor suggest where they may spend their time in eternity. That is Gods and Gods alone to decide. But we do call out the false doctrines and practicies being heralded by these churches and ministers as they run contrary to not only logic and common sense,but the scriptures themselves.
